For some time now, people have been requesting a “spiritual successor” to DCQC's Designing Your deviantART Profile article [link] , which was written in a mock “dA tutorial” format. In it, I walked readers through how to design an obnoxious profile similar to those of many other tartlets. In today’s article, I present to you another tutorial-esque piece, walking you through how to identify deviantART users with “fucked up fetishes,” from merely looking at their galleries or their favorites.

It is my hope that this checklist is formally adopted by some psychiatric institute, and used to diagnose individuals as what I like to refer to as “sick fucks.” Failing that, I am also content posting this on deviantART and hearing angry feedback from furries, voreaphiliacs, and other assorted sick fucks. If you know someone who may have what constitutes as a fucked up fetish, I urge you to send this checklist to them, and to let me know they respond to it. Remember, the first step in any rehabilitation / self-help program is admitting you have a problem: If they should deny that their fetish is an issue, it is simply denial in action.

Am I the only one who finds this funny? I mean the guy makes a valid point, but I question his motives. Perhaps he is the classic gay hating priest who is himself gay. Warning us from experience is a noble cause; however doing it for the Lulz is not.

That being said, one should take precautions to at least understand and accept realism.
As the author stated before most of these fetishes will never actually happen in real life, but ponder this, who doesn't fantasist about being the president or a millionaire once in a while? These goals may seem achievable, but in reality only a select few can garner these positions. Yet, some people work their entire lives trying to become rich or get elected. Worst of all when they achieve this goal they rarely find themselves happy.

This principle works the same way with fetishes. Even though they are unrealistic, people indulge in them. Akin to reading a good novel actually. The problem occurs when people become obsessed with their unrealistic fetish instead of viewing it casually. Relationships must always be prioritized above porn. If you find yourself unable to "get off" to "normal"(not animated) porn of your sexual orientation, you have a problem and should seek help.

That being said, there some fetishes that reek of sick-fuckery and should never be viewed under any circumstances as they are frowned upon in polite society and morally/ethically wrong (guro, pedo). As stated by this picture adult consent is one of the most important aspects(if not the most) of any sexual experience, No means No.

Thank You, Zhabermann

Wait a fucking second, How is this trolling? the first one's a little hard to agree with, but seriously if you can defend having one of these fetishes you need help.

I honestly don't understand people who gain pleasure from the mutilation and torture of others

now given, i do have a few that fall under this, i still have a mind to keep it in my mind. I would think these fetishes become fucked up the moment someone tries to bring fantasy into reality.

Whether something is "fucked up" is almost always subjective. Although I definitely agree that there are plenty of disturbing fetishes on Deviantart. I'm not shocked that people fap to furries- being that they have human anatomy.

Wow. This is amazing. I can understand being insecure about your fetish. I can understand not wanting to be ridiculed for it. I can understand not wanting to be called a "sick fuck." I can understand dismissing this as trolling. I can understand many of the reactions here.

But what I don't get is how /anyone/ can try to /defend/ their sick fetish instead of accepting that it really is "fucked up."
